Your address & custom domain
Every practice gets a free web address. On Growth and above you can also use your own domain.
Your free address
As soon as your public page is enabled, it's live at your own address on TutorRoom, something like your-practice.tutorroom.app. There's nothing to set up and it works straight away. You'll find the exact link in Owner, then Landing page.
Using your own domain (Growth and up)
Prefer a domain you own, like practice.yoursite.com? Here's how.
- In your DNS provider, add a CNAME record for the subdomain you want (e.g.
practice) pointing totutorroom.azurewebsites.net. - In Owner, then Landing page, enter your domain under Use your own domain and save.
- Email hello@tutorroom.app to let us know. We switch on the secure certificate (HTTPS) for your domain and confirm once it's live, usually within one business day.
The short wait is because every custom domain needs its own security certificate so visitors see the padlock and a fully secure site. We handle that part for you.
Good to know
- Use a subdomain (like
practice.yoursite.com), not the rootyoursite.com. - DNS changes can take a little time to spread, occasionally up to a day.
- Your free TutorRoom address keeps working even after your custom domain is live.
