TutorRoom guide
Guides for running your academy, written for owners, tutors, and families.
What TutorRoom does
TutorRoom runs the day to day of an online tutoring academy: students, classes and timetable, subjects and levels, a built-in video classroom, materials and homework, attendance and lesson notes, payments, announcements, parent-tutor messaging, and a public page for new enquiries.
Who signs in
- Owner. Sets up the academy and manages everything, students, tutors, parents, classes, subjects and levels, materials, payments and the public page.
- Tutor. Runs their classes: opens the classroom, sets homework and materials, marks attendance, and writes lesson notes. Access depends on the permissions the owner grants.
- Parent. Follows each child's next lesson, homework, progress and payments, and messages the tutor.
- Student. Sees today, submits homework, reads their tutor's notes, and follows their progress.
